Panthers Finish Fifth In First AMCC Round Robin

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team wrapped up its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Round Robin Sunday, finishing in fifth place.

The Panthers finished with a record of 2-4 in the two-day event, good for fifth out of seven total teams.

"The girls had another solid day, achieving our highest team total," Interim Head Coach Gregg Hoover said. "We keep improving. I'm proud of them all."

Medaille picked up the win with a perfect 6-0 record, with Saint Vincent grabbing second at 5-1. 

Mount Aloysius finished third with a mark of 4-2 and New Jersey City grabbed fourth place with a level 3-3 mark.

Penn State-Altoona (1-5) and Hilbert (0-6) finished behind the Panthers.

Pitt-Bradford took on Saint Vincent to open the day's action. SVC topped Pitt-Bradford 926-814.

The Panthers then ended the event on a high note with their best score of the contest, a 919-738 defeat of Penn State-Altoona.

Pitt-Bradford will be in action next on Feb. 17 in the Br. Pat Memorial Tournament in Greensburg, Pa.
