Panthers Women's Bowling Swept At Saint Vincent Sunday

LATROBE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team participated in its second road action of the season at Saint Vincent Sunday.

Saint Vincent came out on top over the Panthers in all three events.

"The girls bowled decently today," Head Coach Sarah Foley said. "Not at our full potential, but their energy made up for it. Even though we went 0-3 for the day, I'm still proud of them."

In team format, Saint Vincent claimed the win in game one, 831-734, then in game two, 853-747.

Kelsey Hammons led the Panthers in traditional scoring with a 180, followed but Trisha McElroy averaged 161.

Saint Vincent later claimed the baker win, 650-518.

Mackenzie Bonyak was the team's top performer in baker with a 15.25 average. McElroy was next for the Panthers, averaging 11.86.

Jenna Lofaro averaged 120 in traditional and posted a 10 baker average.

In her first collegiate bowling competition, Jessica Hamel averaged 120.5 pins in traditional and earned an 8.38 baker average.

Pitt-Bradford will be in competition next Saturday at Penn State-Behrend.
