Ward Honored As Women's Bowling All-AMCC

Complete 2017-18 AMCC Bowling All-Conference Team & Award Winners

BRADFORD, Pa. – Senior Haley Ward of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team has been named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Team, officials announced Thursday.

"Haley has earned her spot on the All-Conference team," Head Coach Sarah Foley said. "Her stats speak for themselves about how well she bowled her senior year. But her stats are not the only reason she has earned a spot on this team. She is an outstanding captain and teammate. She showed sportsmanship on and off the lanes and demonstrated great leadership during this whole season.

"She has represented our conference very well and has been a great role model for our student-athletes. At our conference meets, Haley has demonstrated not only what is expected of a Panther, but what is expected to be a bowler for the AMCC. I'm proud of Haley for everything that she has accomplished this year."

The Machias, N.Y., native posted a 16.3 baker average this season and averaged 172.84 pins in team format.

This season, her single-game high in team format was a score of 208 on Jan. 27.

In AMCC play, she averaged 176 pins in team format, and her performance in the AMCC Championships elevated her conference baker average to 16.17.

Ward represented the Panthers on the AMCC All-Tournament Team at the conference championships, which she helped to a third-place finish.
