Women's Bowling Finishes Fourth at AMCC Championships

The Pitt-Bradford women's bowling team finished fourth at the 2017 AMCC Championships this weekend in Johnstown, Pa.

Medaille won the event with a 9-1 record, upsetting top-seeded Mt. Aloysius, who finished runner-up with a mark of 7-3. New Jersey City and Pitt-Bradford both finished with identical 6-4 records, but the Gothic Knights won the head-to-head matchup against the Panthers to earn the tie-breaker.

Pitt-Bradford went 3-2 on both days of competition, but ranked second among all teams with 4,204 total pins fell in Sunday's Baker format.

In the traditional format, the Panthers registered wins over Penn State Altoona, Medaille, and Thiel. Brianna Saylor led Pitt-Bradford with 899 total pins fell, and Chelsea Greene knocked down 871 pins.

Pitt-Bradford defeated Penn State Altoona, Mt. Aloysius, and Thiel in the Baker format, but lost its finale against New Jersey City by 50 pins, relegating the team's finish to fourth.

Saylor was named to the all-tournament team.
