BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team picked up its second-straight win Wednesday in dominant fashion, 88-55, against Penn State-Altoona at the KOA Arena.
With the win, Pitt-Bradford improves to 9-8 in AMCC action and takes over sole possession of fourth place in the conference. Penn State-Altoona drops to 10-7 in conference play but maintains its status of third place in the AMCC standings.
Pitt-Bradford now has one final chance to secure its AMCC playoff fate as Penn State-Behrend comes to the KOA Arena Saturday. Behrend and Mount Aloysius both sit tied at fifth and sixth place with 8-9 conference marks.
"We played our game," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "We moved the ball well and got stops which lead to transition buckets. All around we played a great team game. Everyone played their part which led to our win."
Jennifer Isenberg led all scorers with 24 points while Shirleah Ragin and Shaelyn Snipes had 14 points each.
Etreece Adams recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.
Latifah Cain chipped in 11 points despite early foul trouble, as all five Panther starters scored in double-figures.
The Panthers stormed out to an early lead and never looked back, at one point holding a 25-5 advantage in the first quarter.
Altoona eventually notched five points before the close of the quarter and the Panthers took a 25-10 lead into the second.
But the Lions found their stroke and began to claw back, hitting a pair of three-pointers and six total buckets to score 20 in the second quarter.
Pitt-Bradford eventually took a 38-30 lead into the half.
The rest of the way was all Panthers.
30 points in the third quarter led by an eruption of 14 points from Isenberg in the period alone gave Pitt-Bradford a lofty 68-43 advantage heading into the final period.
Another 20 points in the fourth quarter secured the win for Pitt-Bradford.
The Panther defense forced 17 Penn State-Altoona turnovers and held the Lions to 5-23 (21.7 percent) shooting on three-point field goals.
Pitt-Bradford also dominated the glass, pulling in 50 boards while Altoona grabbed just 38.
Snipes grabbed nine rebounds while Isenberg collected eight to aid the Panthers' rebounding effort.
Isenberg, Cain and Snipes dished six assists apiece.
Cain led the team with five steals and Adams blocked two shots.
As a team, Pitt-Bradford hit six three-pointers.
Up next, Penn State-Behrend will come to the KOA Arena for the regular season finale Saturday. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. Prior to the start of the contest, Pitt-Bradford will honor Jennifer Isenberg and Etreece Adams for Senior Day.
