GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team picked up a convincing bounce-back Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win at Pitt-Greensburg Saturday, 84-56.

With the win, Pitt-Bradford improves to 7-9 overall and 6-5 in AMCC action and Pitt-Greensburg drops to 6-13 overall 5-7 in conference play.

"I was proud of our second-half effort," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "Disciplined defense and balanced scoring led to this important win."

Latifah Cain led the Panthers with a career-high 22 points on 8-12 shooting and 5-5 from the free-throw line.

Five total Panthers scored in double-figures as Jennifer Isenberg dropped 16 points, Shirleah Ragin scored 13, Shaelyn Snipes poured in 12 and Etreece Adams scored 11.

Adams also collected a game-high 14 rebounds for a double-double.

A stifling defensive performance, Pitt-Bradford forced 28 Bobcat turnovers -- tying the season high set in both contests against Medaille on Nov. 28 and Jan. 23.

The Panthers shot 45.6 percent from the floor and held Pitt-Greensburg to 39.6 percent shooting.

Pitt-Bradford also got it done at the free-throw line, connecting on 18-22 attempts.

The Panthers controlled the first quarter and held the Bobcats to just 11 points while scoring 18 of their own.

An even second quarter in which both teams connected on a pair of three-pointers and five total field goals narrowly went Pitt-Greensburg's way, 15-14.

Cain connected on a three-ball as time expired to give the Panthers the momentum and a 32-26 lead at the break.

Seven points from Ragin, six from Cain and five forced turnovers in the third quarter helped the Panthers build their lead.

The fourth quarter was all Panthers as Pitt-Bradford scored 30 points and held Pitt-Greensburg to 15 to put the game out of reach.

A 9-10 performance at the free-throw line, nine forced turnovers and six steals in the fourth quarter alone helped round out a complete performance to secure the 84-56 win.

Pitt-Bradford won the rebounding battle, 38-36, and turned 16 offensive boards into 17 second-chance points.

Ragin led the team in assists with five and Adams blocked three shots.

Snipes led the team with a pair of three-pointers.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will host first-place Hilbert at the KOA Arena Wednesday for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
