Pitt-Bradford Women Stay Home To Host Franciscan Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will play its second-straight home game Saturday, hosting Franciscan for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest at the KOA Arena.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a strong 76-66 win against D'Youville at home Wednesday, improving its AMCC record to 5-4 which is good for fourth in the conference.

Jennifer Isenberg dropped a career-high 33 points to lead the Panthers. 

Latifah Cain dropped 19 points for the Panthers while Shaelyn Snipes and Jasmin Miller chipped in 10 points apiece.

Jenna Hicks led the Panthers' rebounding effort with 14 boards.

Earlier this season, Pitt-Bradford traveled down to Franciscan on Dec. 15 and came away with a 77-51 victory.

Cain and Etreece Adams led the Panthers with 17 points apiece.

On the season, Isenberg remains a top rebounder in the conference, ranking fourth in the AMCC with 8.9 rebounds per game.

Franciscan comes to the KOA Arena with a 2-14 overall mark and a 2-8 record in conference play. The Barons have played their best ball as of late, winning their last two games against Penn State-Behrend (Jan. 12) and against Penn State-Altoona (Jan. 16).

Angela Starre is the team's leading scorer averaging 13.5 points per game. She also ranks third in the conference shooting 37 percent from long range. Raegan Stead contributes 10.4 points per game for the Barons.

Saturday's game is set for a 2 p.m. start. It will serve as the first game of a doubleheader at the KOA Arena with the men's matchup coming after at 4 p.m.
