Pitt-Bradford Women Return To Action At Franciscan Saturday, Host Manhattanville Monday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will have a busy few days, heading to Franciscan for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest Saturday and hosting Manhattanville for non-conference action Monday.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough 66-63 defeat to Pitt-Greensburg last Saturday at the KOA Arena. The Panthers have been idle from competition for a week to focus on final exams.

Shirleah Ragin led the Panthers with 19 points while Jennifer Isenberg dropped 15 points and collected 11 boards for a double-double.

Shaelyn Snipes was also in double-figures for the Panthers with 13 points.

Heading into the week, Pitt-Bradford owns the top scoring offense in conference games averaging 74.3 points per game.

Franciscan welcomes the Panthers still in search of its first win of the season at 0-8 overall and 0-4 in AMCC contests. Angela Starre is the fifth-leading scorer in the conference averaging 16 points per game. She is also third in the conference in three-point field goal percentage at 39.3 percent. As a team, the Barons are averaging the fewest points per game in the conference at 48.3.

The Valiants average 74.1 points per game and hold opponents to 44.4 points per game for a +29.8 scoring margin, the seventh-best in the nation.
