Pitt-Bradford Women Look To Keep Rolling As Greensburg Comes To Town Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will look to continue its perfect start to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action as Pitt-Greensburg comes to the KOA Arena Saturday.

The Panthers picked up a thrilling win at Penn State-Altoona Wednesday to improve to 3-0 in the AMCC, which is believed to be the best start to conference play in program history.

With just under three minutes to play, Shirleah Ragin knocked down a three-pointer to pull within one.

Following a defensive stop, Jennifer Isenberg gave Pitt-Bradford its first lead of the game, 82-81, with a layup at the 2:06 mark.

Then, Jasmin Miller hit the big shot, knocking down a three-pointer from the wing with 38 seconds left to make it a two-possession game.

But after a slew of free-throws from both sides, Altoona would hang around, knocking down a three-pointer from the top of the key with 14 seconds left to pull to within one, 88-87, with 14 seconds left.

A pair at the line from Ragin on the Panthers' next possession set up two more chances from Altoona to tie but both three-point attempts were off the mark and the Panthers held on for the win.

Ragin once again led all scorers and broke her previous career high with 25 points.

Snipes is the fourth-best scorer in the conference at 16.6 points per game.

Through the three AMCC games, though, Ragin leads the AMCC with 22.3 points per game.

Isenberg is the fourth-best rebounder in the AMCC with 9.4 boards per game.

In the early parts of conference play, Pitt-Bradford has the top scoring offense by a wide margin, averaging 78.0 points per game. Penn State-Altoona is second at 71.7 points per game.

Pitt-Greensburg comes to the KOA Arena with a 3-4 overall mark and a 2-1 record in conference play. Greensburg is coming off a 74-70 win Wednesday, handing La Roche its first conference loss.

Nadege Durand is the team's top scorer with 16 points per game. Maddie Sitler leads the AMCC in field goal percentage shooting 51 percent from the floor. Colleen Murphy is one of the top three-point shooters in the conference at 37.5 percent from long range.

Saturday's game is set for a 2 p.m. tipoff. The contest will be the first game of a doubleheader at the KOA Arena with the men's game coming after at 4 p.m.
