BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will look to continue its strong start to conference play as it heads to Penn State-Altoona Wednesday.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a 62-52 win in its first AMCC road game Saturday at Penn State-Behrend.

Behrend battled back early in the second half but Pitt-Bradford came through with 24 points in the fourth period to close out the win.

Shirleah Ragin led all scorers for the second-straight game, this time scoring 18 points.

Shaelyn Snipes dropped 16 points while Etreece Adams collected a double-double of 10 points and 11 boards.

Latifah Cain was also in double-figure scoring with 11 points.

Prior to the Behrend win, the Panthers picked up a convincing victory against Medaille in its AMCC opener at the KOA Arena Wednesday.

Ragin led all scorers in both games as she averaged 21 points per game and shot 51.9 percent, went 9-12 from the free-throw line and 5-10 from three in 35.5 minutes per game.

For her performance, she was named the AMCC's Player of the Week.

After the first week of conference play, Pitt-Bradford sits atop the AMCC at 2-0 tied with Hilbert and La Roche.

On the season, Snipes leads the team in scoring with the fourth-best scoring average in the AMCC at 16.2 points per game.

No one is the AMCC has better shot selection than Adams, who leads the conference with a 56.3 field goal percentage.

Jennifer Isenberg is the third-best rebounder in the conference with 9.3 boards per game.

Penn State-Altoona welcomes the Panthers with a 1-1 AMCC mark and an overall record of 2-3. To open conference play, the Lions picked up a win at home against Mount Aloysius Wednesday before suffering a road loss at La Roche Saturday. 

The Lions own the top three-point shooter in the conference in Co-Preseason Player of the Year Finnley Christine, who leads the AMCC shooting 45 percent (9-20) from long range. Alexis Cannistraci is the team's leading scorer with 14.8 points per game and she's fourth in the conference in rebounding at 9.2 boards per game.

No team in the AMCC gets to the line more than Altoona, as the Lions lead the conference in free-throw attempts per game at 19.6. The Lions are also the second-best scoring team in the conference at 64.8 points per game.

Wednesday's game is set for a 6 p.m. tip. It will be the first game of a doubleheader with the men's game coming after at 8 p.m.
