Pitt-Bradford To Welcome Medaille For AMCC Opener Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team is set to return home Wednesday to host Medaille for its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opener.

Pitt-Bradford (0-4) is in search of its first victory this season, coming off a road setback at John Carroll before the holiday.

The Panthers own the AMCC's top rebounder in Jennifer Isenberg, who has pulled in 10.5 boards per contest. She also averages 10.3 points per game, one of two players in the conference to average a double-double.

Shaelyn Snipes is the fourth-leading scorer in the AMCC with 16.5 points per game. She matched her career high of 25 points in back-to-back games against Chatham (Nov. 10) and at Lock Haven (Nov. 14).

Through her first four collegiate games, Latifah Cain owns the second-best scoring average on the team with 11.3 points per game, her career-high of 19 points coming in the second game of the season against Chatham.

As a team, Pitt-Bradford has defended the shot well so far, holding teams to 38.2 percent shooting and 28.4 percent from long range -- both percentages ranking third in the AMCC.

Medaille enters the KOA Arena with a 1-4 mark so far this season, claiming its first win of the season Nov. 18 against Wells, 64-41. Breanna Walker is the team's leading scorer with 11.6 points per game while Morgan Kennedy is close behind with 11.4 points per contest. Brigid Taylor is one of the top three-point shooters in the conference, knocking down the fifth-most so far this season with eight.

Wednesday's contest is set for a 6 p.m. tip. It will be the first game of a doubleheader with the men's game, which will start after around 8 p.m.
