Ali Rinfrette Approaches 2,000 Career Points

BRADFORD, Pa. – Senior guard Ali Rinfrette of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team enters Wednesday's home finale set to reach an elite scoring milestone.

The Bradford native has 1,997 career points, just three points shy of becoming the first 2,000-point scorer in Pitt-Bradford women's basketball history.

On Dec. 2, Rinfrette became Pitt-Bradford women's basketball's All-Time leading scorer, and she has since put together a stellar senior season.

Rinfrette leads the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference with 22.0 points per game, the only player in the conference to hold a scoring average over 20 points per game.

Her scoring average is also good for ninth in the country.

Last week, she was voted HEROSports.com's D3 Women's Basketball HERO of the Week and was honored as the AMCC Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Pitt-Bradford enters Wednesday tied for third place in the AMCC with Medaille at 9-7 in conference play.

Wednesday's game against Penn State-Altoona is set for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the KOA Arena.
