CRESSON, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team had its winning streak cut short at Mount Aloysius, 71-55, Saturday in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game. 

"It was a tough game," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "We didn't play our best. We missed a lot of free throws. But we will get back in the gym on Monday to keep moving forward and working hard."

Ali Rinfrette led all scorers with 29 points while grabbing 14 rebounds for her second-straight double-double.

Jennifer Isenberg pulled down a game-high 16 boards.

The Mounties got off to a hot start, connecting on 10 of 14 field goals and making seven three-pointers for 29 points in the first quarter.

Rinfrette knocked down a three-pointer with 47 seconds left in the first quarter to round out the scoring for the first period.

Mount Aloysius took a 29-15 lead into the second.

The two teams put up a rather even, low-scoring second quarter, as the Mounties outscored the Panthers 12-11.

Pitt-Bradford went 3-18 from the field while Mount Aloysius shot 5-10 in the second as both teams struggled from the floor.

The Panther defense tightened up on the perimeter, holding the Mounties to a 1-6 mark on three-point field goals in the second quarter.

A jumper at the buzzer sent the Mounties into the half ahead, 41-26. 

Both teams put up single-digit scoring totals in the third quarter, as the Panthers outscored the Mounties 9-7 in the third to cut into the deficit. 

Rinfrette scored five Panther points in the third while Anna Colebert dropped four, coming on a three-pointer and a made free throw.

Up 13 points heading into the fourth quarter, the Mounties started out the quarter on a 6-0 run to go up 54-35 at the 7:48 mark, and a three-ball a minute-and-a-half later extended their lead to 20 points. 

Rinfrette did most of the scoring for the Panthers in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 of the team's 20 points. She knocked down two three-pointers down the stretch to aid her scoring output.

But the Mount Aloysius lead would be insurmountable and the Mounties held on, 71-55. 

Pitt-Bradford dominated the boards, outrebounding Mount Aloysius 61-50. 

In addition to Isenberg and Rinfrette's rebounding totals, Shaelyn Snipes grabbed eight boards.

Isenberg's 16 rebounds were split, eight offensive and eight defensive boards.

The Panthers turned the ball over 11 times and forced nine Mount Aloysius turnovers.

Up next, the Panthers will play their second-straight road game as they head to Medaille Wednesday.
