Rinfrette Named AMCC Player of the Week

AMCC Release

BRADFORD, Pa. -- Ali Rinfrette of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for her performance during the period running from Dec. 4-10, conference officials announced Monday.

"Ali has been performing well for us," Head Coach Sharay Hall said. "She plays a good all-around game with a great balance of scoring, rebounding and assisting. She is starting to get her flow playing with this team of new talents, but continues to develop every day. She is a great example to our young team and will continue to lead us this season."

The senior played every minute of each contest and led the Panthers in scoring in both games to help them to a perfect 2-0 week on the road.

In Wednesday's win at Chatham, Rinfrette erupted for 38 points, tying her career-high and the Pitt-Bradford single-game record, which she set last season. She set season highs in three-pointers (four), field goals (10) and free throws (14) in the performance.

With her solid play this past week, the senior is now the top scorer in the conference at 22.4 points per game.

She also got it done on the defensive side of the ball, grabbing 10 total steals -- seven in the win at Franciscan. Rinfrette averaged six assists per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Pitt-Bradford has won three straight, the second-longest active win streak in the AMCC. The Panthers will be in action next as Mount Aloysius comes to the KOA Arena Saturday at 3 p.m.
