Pitt-Bradford junior Ali Rinfrette was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women's basketball Player of the Year Tuesday. She was joined on the all-conference team by teammate Brittany Watts.

Rinfrette is the fourth Panther in program history to be named Player of the Year joining Alicia Kimmel (2014-15), Katie Moore (2007-08) and Julia Augustus (2002-03). She appeared on the first-team for the second straight season and is a three-time all-conference selection. Watts was a third-team pick, earning all-league honors for the first time in her career.

Rinfrette was tied for second in the AMCC in scoring at 21.6 points per game and led the conference in total points (584), field goals made (203), three-pointers made (71) and three-point field goal percentage (38.4). She also ranked in the top 10 in several other categories, including minutes played (900), free throws made (104), defensive rebounds (89), total rebounds (189), assists (81), and steals (75).

Her 38 points at home against D'Youville on Jan. 9 were a Pitt-Bradford single-game record, and she drilled a program-record eight three-pointers against Hilbert on Jan. 18. The Bradford native only trailed Watts on the team with four double-doubles and seven rebounds a game.

She was at her best in the Panthers' two tournament games last week, averaging 29 points on 52 percent shooting.

Rinfrette scored her 1,000th career point on Nov. 29 against Houghton and enters her senior year needing just 96 points to break the school's all-time scoring record.

Watts, a senior, started all 27 games for Pitt-Bradford, while leading the team in rebounding (7.3), double-doubles (8) and total blocks (15). She ranked second in scoring with 12.9 points per game.

The Johnsonburg native was among the AMCC leaders in field goal percentage (45.8), offensive rebounds (84), defensive rebounds (114) and total rebounds (198). Her per-game numbers across the board increased in conference play, and she posted double-digit points in 14 of the team's 18 league games.

Her 9-11 shooting performance against Franciscan on Jan. 28 ranks as the second-best single-game shooting percentage total in school history (81.8), and she has been part of 66 wins in her four-year career.

Rinfrette and Watts led the Panthers to a 16-11 record this season and the AMCC tournament semifinals.
