Panthers Win Second Straight, Defeat Franciscan

The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team won its second straight game Saturday, downing Franciscan on the road, 81-66.

The Panthers built a 16-point halftime lead and led for all but 26 seconds. For the game, they shot 42 percent from the floor, hitting eight threes, and scored 18 points off 17 Franciscan turnovers.

The Barons were just 6-20 from long-range and surrendered 21 offensive rebounds. Pitt-Bradford held a 49-34 advantage on the boards and was 17-24 from the free throw line.

Ali Rinfrette led the Blue and Gold with 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Brittany Watts totaled 20 points, hitting 9-11 shots, and Anna Colebert added 14. Stephanie Maciag pulled down 14 rebounds and had nine points off the bench.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 11-8 on the season and 8-4 in the AMCC. The Panthers will look to make it three straight when they travel to D'Youville Wednesday for a 6 p.m. contest.
