Ali Rinfrette hit a Pitt-Bradford single-game record eight threes, and the women's basketball team snapped its two-game losing streak Wednesday night, downing Hilbert 99-70.

Rinfrette started hot, hitting her first two shots, and never cooled off. She finished the night a blistering 13-18 from the field, scoring a game-high 35 points, and only missed one attempt from three. She broke the mark of seven made threes in a game held by former Panthers Karen Garland and current teammate Anna Colebert.

Rinfrette appeared to rub off on her teammates too. After shooting 34 percent in a pair of road losses last week, the Panthers bounced back against the Hawks, hitting 36 of 71 attempts, good for 51 percent.  

Pitt-Bradford led 18-16 after the first quarter and a 12-2 scoring run to open the second frame pushed its lead to double-digits. That run triggered a 29-point quarter for the Panthers, and they led 47-24 at halftime.

Shots would continue to fall in the second half as the margin ballooned to 34. Pitt-Bradford was nearly lights out in the fourth quarter, going 7-9 from long-range, as the Blue and Gold flirted with triple-digits for the second time this season.

The Panthers trailed for only 54 seconds and hit a program single-game record 16 threes on 28 attempts. Hilbert outrebounded Pitt-Bradford by nine and pulled down a staggering 30 offensive rebounds, yet struggled to keep pace offensively, turning the ball over 27 times and shooting 34 percent.

Brittany Watts registered a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds, Colebert scored 10 points, and Darien Lantz dished out a season-high nine assists. The Pitt-Bradford bench had one of its best performances of the season, bolstered by Casey Stringer's 14 points.

The Panthers improve to 9-7 on the season, including 7-3 in the AMCC, and will host conference-leader La Roche at 2 p.m. Saturday.
