Colebert, Pitt-Bradford Women Thump York

Anna Colebert scored a career-high 28 points, Ali Rinfrette chipped in with 22 and the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team thumped York (N.Y.) 95-50 Saturday in the consolation game of the Jim Crawley Tournament.

Colebert finished 11-of-18 from the floor, including connecting on six three-pointers to lead the Panther offense. She added a team-high seven assists and pulled down six rebounds.

Pitt-Bradford led by 12 after the opening quarter and outscored the Cardinals 32-9 in the second quarter to pull away for good.

The Panthers hit 11 three-pointers in all and held a 42-16 scoring advantage in the paint. Pitt-Bradford forced a season-high 26 turnovers, which led to 33 points, and shot 47 percent from the field one day after struggling to generate offense in its loss to Rutgers-Camden.

All nine Panthers scored in the victory, and Brittany Watts (12) and Shirleah Ragin (10) both finished in double-figures. Rinfrette hit nine total field goals and was named to the all-tourney team.

Pitt-Bradford improves to 1-1 on the season and returns to action next Saturday at home against Fredonia.
