Pitt-Bradford alum Rob Fair has joined the Pitt-Bradford softball program as an assistant coach for the 2022 season. Fair joins the Panthers after spending 2 seasons as the head softball coach at Alfred State University. He took over the program in the interim capacity for the COVID shortened 2019-20 campaign, and led the program as its full-time head coach last season. With the Pioneers he compiled a 12-26 record, while two of his players earned All-AMCC honors. Prior to leading the program, he spent two years as a volunteer assistant with the Pioneers. 

Fair has 30 years of softball coaching experience in women's fastpitch, men's slowpitch, and men's fastpitch. He has previously been the President and the head coach of the U16 team for the Southern Tier Bandits Organization for the past 10 years and spent time coaching at Hinsdale Central School and Cuba Rushford High School.

In his time with the Southern Tier Bandits, he is in charge of the administrative duties and scheduling for all teams and is also in charge of all the coaching duties for the U-16 team, including all tryouts, practice, and game planning. The program fields team at the U12, U14, U16, U18 levels and trains well over 100 athletes. Over 20 former players of the program have gone on to play softball at the collegiate level. 

Fair graduated from Pitt-Bradford in 1991 with a degree in Broadcast Communications.
