Stroup Selected as AMCC Softball Player of the Week for 2nd Time

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team's Sara Stroup picked up her 2nd AMCC Player of the Week honor of the season after dominating a doubleheader at Keuka last week.

Stroup hit .714 as she went 5-for-7 in a split doubleheader at Keuka last week. She tallied four runs scored, two doubles, and two RBI. In the 11-2 win, Stroup was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored. The freshman catcher and infielder has a .605 batting average and a .659 slugging percentage, good for the 3rd and 4th best totals in the nation.

She previously won the award after the Panthers' Spring Break trip that saw Pitt-Bradford win 7 of 9 games. That week Stroup posted a .600 batting average with 10 runs scored and 7 driven in.
