BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team will make it eight-straight home Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference games Wednesday as Medaille comes to the Kessel Athletics Complex.
Pitt-Bradford (15-11, 3-3 AMCC) is coming off a doubleheader split with Franciscan Saturday.
Earlier in the week, the Panthers swept Hilbert and Alfred State. Pitt-Bradford went 5-1 on the week.
Highlighting the Panthers' performances were stellar weeks from Jordan Uhing in the circle and Maddy Hillery at the plate.
For their successes, both earned AMCC weekly recognition as the Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week, respectively.
At the plate, Hillery went 11-for-20 with five doubles, nine runs scored and 12 RBIs -- six of which came during game two at Alfred State.
Uhing picked up wins in all four of her appearances, defeating Hilbert, Alfred State and Franciscan in complete-game fashion, while also earning the win in game two against Hilbert in relief. Her 10 strikeouts during her one-hit win at Alfred State set a new career high and serve as the program's first double-digit strikeout performance since 2014.
In total, she tossed 20.1 innings allowing just four earned runs and striking out 18. Her ERA for the week was 1.38.
Grace Dadzaa remains one of the top base stealers in the AMCC with 13 steals, the conference's third most.
Hillery ranks fourth in the AMCC in both batting average (.427) and RBIs (22) while Uhing is tied for the most wins in the AMCC with nine and has the fourth-most strikeouts with 54.
So far this season, Medaille owns a 6-14 overall record and is 0-4 in AMCC action. Hannah Lagrou leads the team with a .385 batting average, three homers and 12 RBIs. In the circle, Medaille has the AMCC Preseason Pitcher of the Year in Laura Kratzke. Vickie Waugaman has seen the most action in the circle this year, though, leading the AMCC with 87.2 innings pitched.
Action Wednesday is set for a 3 p.m start with game two beginning around 5 p.m.
