Pitt-Bradford Softball To Host Hilbert Tuesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team will continue Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action Tuesday hosting Hilbert at the Kessel Athletics Complex.

The doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played at Hilbert but was moved to the Kessel Athletics Complex due to heavy winter weather in the Buffalo area this past weekend.

Pitt-Bradford will still be the "away" team in the stats and on the scoreboard.

The Panthers (10-10, 0-2 AMCC) are coming off its AMCC-opening doubleheader against Penn State-Behrend Wednesday in which the Lions took both sides.

Last week was highlighted by Maddy Hillery's hot hitting. In the four games, the senior went 7-for-12 and hit .583 with a pair of doubles and her first career homer. She drove in three runs and scored four.

Hillery leads the team with 10 RBIs, 16 runs scored, a .477 on-base percentage and a .527 on-base percentage.

Grace Dadzaa leads the team with 23 hits and she's tied for fourth in the AMCC with seven stolen bases.

Pitt-Bradford owns one of the AMCC's top 1-2 punches in the circle in Jordan Uhing and Kerrigan Hoffmann. Uhing's five wins are tied for second-most in the conference and 36 strikeouts are fifth-most in the AMCC. Hoffmann's four wins are tied for fifth in the AMCC and her 3.12 is seventh-best in the conference.

Hilbert comes to the Kessel Athletics Complex with a 4-7 overall record and an 0-2 AMCC mark. The Hawks opened up conference play Wednesday at D'Youville, dropping both.

Maia Delaney is one of the top hitters in the AMCC, owning the third-best batting average at .441. In the circle, Marisa McIntyre (4-4) has the fourth-most strikeouts with 37.

First pitch for game one is scheduled for 3 p.m. with game two coming after around 5 p.m.
