Pitt-Bradford Softball To Play First AMCC Road Games At Pitt-Greensburg Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team will hit the road Saturday for its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contests away from the Kessel Athletics Complex at Pitt-Greensburg Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford (10-10, 0-2 AMCC) opened conference play Wednesday against the AMCC preseason favorite Penn State-Behrend. The Lions took both sides of the doubleheader.

As part of the Panthers' AMCC opening series, Maddy Hillery knocked her first career homer to right center.

Through the two games, Hillery went 4-for-5 with a homer, double, two runs scored and three RBIs.

So far this season, Hillery is second in the AMCC with 16 runs scored and nine walks, third with 16 total hits and fifth with a .477 on-base percentage.

Grace Dadzaa is tied for fourth in the AMCC with seven stolen bases.

Leading the Panthers in hitting are Mackenzie Bonyak with a .405 batting average and Liz Dzurisin with a .400 average.

In the circle, Jordan Uhing is tied for second in the conference with five wins and her 36 strikeouts are third-most in the AMCC.

So far this season, Pitt-Greensburg is 5-13 overall and 1-1 in AMCC action after splitting with Penn State-Altoona Wednesday.

Jen Miller leads the team with a .339 batting average, 19 hits, four doubles and a triple.

Tayjah White is hitting .311 with a .925 OPS and a team-leading nine RBIs, 11 runs and a homer.

Krista Bayus (3-2) and Brittany Dunn (2-11) split time in the circle for the Bobcats.

Saturday's action is set for a 1 p.m. start.
