Pitt-Bradford falls in doubleheader to St. John Fisher

ROCHESTER, N.Y – The Pitt-Bradford softball team traveled to St. John Fisher and fell in both games against the Cardinals, 10-0 and 12-2.


The Panthers struggled at the plate in both games against St. John Fisher as they were shut out in the first game and came away with only one hit.


St. John Fisher jumped out early getting one run in the first and another in the third to take an early 2-0 lead after three innings.


The Cardinals put up two more in the bottom of the fifth and scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to close out game one after a three-run home run.


The Panthers started game two trailing the Cardinals as St. John Fisher put up eight runs in the first three innings.


The Panthers collected eight hits, however, they were scattered throughout the game not allowing them to gain any momentum on offense.


Pitt-Bradford scored its first run of the game in the top of the fourth after an RBI single by freshman Natalie Harding (Garfield Heights, OH/Garfield Heights).


The Panthers scored again in the top of the fifth after junior Meagan Hillard (Bradford/Bradford) smacked a solo home run but the Panthers ultimately fell to the Cardinals, 12-2.


The Panthers will take the field again as they host Hilbert College on April 8 at 3 p.m.
