Bri Stenta tabbed AMCC Player of the Week

BRADFORD, Pa. – Pitt-Bradford softball senior Bri Stenta (Ridgway/Ridgway) was tabbed the AMCC Player of the Week for March 15, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Stenta went on a tear to open the season for Pitt-Bradford, hitting for a .606 average that included 11 RBIs, five runs scored and 23 total bases in 10 games during the Panthers' spring trip to Fort Myers, Fla.

Stenta had a bases-loaded RBI double that scored three in the sixth inning to give the Panthers the win over Wooster. She also had the game-tying RBI against Drew in the bottom of the 10th inning, helping the Panthers finish 4-6 on their spring break trip. Stenta finished the week with a .696 slugging percentage and .606 on-base percentage.

During her final two games of the trip, Stenta went a perfect 4-4 against Ohio Wesleyan with one hit and one RBI and 2-3 against Wisconsin-Superior, finishing 6-7 on the day.

Stenta will look to continue her excellent form at the plate as the Panthers return home to start the northern part of their season when they host Westminster College at 1 p.m. March 21.
