Panthers Swim Returns Home To Host Alfred State For Senior Day Friday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford swim teams return home to the Paul C. Duke III Aquatic Center Friday to host Alfred State.

Prior to the start of the meet, the Pitt-Bradford Department of Athletics and swim programs will honor Devyn Condon for Senior Day.

Pitt-Bradford was last in action Saturday competing in a tri-meet at Buffalo State with Wells.

The Pitt-Bradford men defeated Wells 104-47 but fell to Buff State 147-62. On the women's side, Wells topped the Panthers 171-27 and Buff State defeated Pitt-Bradford 147-17.

Caleb Hansen and Chris Troll highlighted the event winning a pair of individual events apiece.

The first Pitt-Bradford win of the day came from Hansen in the men's 200-freestyle with a winning time of 1:52.87 -- just under two full seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Troll later earned the second victory of the day for Pitt-Bradford, finishing the men's 100-breaststroke in 1:07.23, edging out a competitive opponent that finished just 0.17 seconds behind.

Troll's second victory of the day came in the men's 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:29.90.

Hansen's second win of the day came in the 200-IM with a top time of 2:13.29.

For his performance, Troll was named the AMCC's Men's Swimmer of the Week.

In the women's events, Kayla Broad finished the 100-backstroke with the second-fastest time at 1:09.22, then continued her strong day finishing second in the 100-freestyle with a time of 1:01.06.

Action at the final home meet of the season for Pitt-Bradford will begin at 5 p.m. with the Senior Day ceremony coming shortly before.
