Pitt-Bradford Swim Back In Action At Buffalo State Tri-Meet Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford swim teams will be in back in action Saturday for a tri-meet with Wells at Buffalo State.

Pitt-Bradford's last action was in its mid-season meet against stiff competition at the Wooster Invitational Nov. 29 - Dec. 1.

After action at Wooster, Caleb Hansen owns the conference's seventh-best time in the 100-backstroke at 57.57. He's also swam the fifth-fastest 200-backstroke in the AMCC with a time of 2:15.81.

Noah Frederick and Chris Troll rank among the top breaststroke swimmers in the conference, as Frederick holds the AMCC's third-best time of 1:01.64 in the 100-breaststroke and Troll is ninth fastest in the conference at the event with a top time of 1:06.56. The junior Frederick also swam the fourth-fastest 200-breaststroke in the first half of the season with a time of 2:17.95 while the freshman Troll was ninth in the same event at 2:40.96.

Frederick also owns the 10th-best time in the AMCC so far in the 200-IM at 2:10.65.

In the butterfly events, Troll holds the 11th-best seed time in the conference in the 100-fly at 57.79 while Devyn Condon is just one spot behind at 57.94. Condon is the fifth-fastest swimmer in the conference in the 200-fly with a seed time of 2:09.91 and Troll is eighth-best at 2:16.28.

On the women's side, Kayla Broad owns the conference's 10th-fastest time in the 50-freestyle at 27.18 and the eighth-best time in the 100-free at 59.26.

Broad also has the AMCC's fifth-best 100-backstroke time at 1:07.67 fourth-best 100-butterfly time of 1:08.73.

Her teammate Alexia Garcia holds the third-best time in the AMCC swimming the 100-breaststroke at 1:16.94 and the seventh-best time in the 200-breast at 2:58.55.

So far this season, Buffalo State's men's team has picked up wins in one of its three dual meets and finished seventh of eight in the Hamilton Invitational prior to its mid-season break while the women's team is still in search of its first dual meet victory and finished 10th of 10 at Hamilton.

The Wells men have been idle since Dec. 1, during which it earned its lone win of the season against SUNY Cobleskill. The women's also defeated SUNY Cobleskill after coming out on top at Gallaudet on Nov. 10.
