Alban Named AMCC Coach Of The Year, Schwab Newcomer Of The Year, Five More Honored As All-Conference

AMCC Release | Full All-Conference Team

BRADFORD, Pa. – Head Men's Swim Coach Douglas Alban of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has been voted the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year, while Jared Schwab, Corey Koss, Nicholas Boyd, Benjamin Koss, Carey Behm and Noah Frederick earned All-Conference honors.

"I am very honored to be voted as men's coach of the year by the AMCC," Alban said. "My assistant, Elizabeth Prager, deserves as much recognition, as she brought a fresh vision to our dryland routines, which kept our athletes healthy and injury free all season, as well as much stronger, in addition to her on-deck facilitation of workouts. The team has fully bought into our training plan and it is paying off remarkably with the number of school records we have broken and the number of people we have on the All-Conference team. I am very proud of what everyone on this team has accomplished and look forward to the next steps in our journey as a team."

The second-year head coach guided Pitt-Bradford to a Runner-Up finish at this year's AMCC Championship Meet.

The Panthers men's team set six individual school records and broke five relay school marks.

In addition to his All-Conference status, Schwab was also named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year announced at the conclusion of the conference meet Saturday.

Schwab captured first in the 50-freestyle and 100-backstroke while finishing second in the 100-freestyle.

Also earning First Team status for individual events is Benjamin Koss, who captured the 100-freestyle with a school, meet and conference record time of 46.56. Benjamin Koss also earned Second Team honors for his performances in the 50-freestyle and 200-freestyle.
