Men's Soccer Returns Home to Take On SUNY Poly

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team will return to their home field for just the second time this season, as they will host the SUNY Poly Wildcats on Wednesday evening.

The Panthers have gotten off to a tough start as they have started their season 1-6. In their last game, they fell behind hosts Elmira 2-0 in the first half but were able to score early in the second to get back into the game. The Panthers pressed for the equalizer for over half an hour before the Soaring Eagles were able to score two late goals to win the game 4-1. Spencer Sklar scored the lone goal for the Panthers. Trevor Clark made 10 saves in the Panther net.

For the season, Sklar leads the Panthers with 3 goals. He has taken 19 shots and put 12 of them on target. Additionally, Austin Hogan and Devin Stowe have each added a pair of goals, while Stowe also has an assist. Trevor Clark and Jared Scarlett have split the time in the Panther goal, each starting 3 games. Scarlett has allowed 12 goals and made 48 saves, while Clark has allowed 13 with 23 saves. Scarlett has the lone Panther victory of the year as he was in net for the 2-1 win over Thiel.

The SUNY Poly Wildcats are 3-3-2 this season, with a 1-0-2 record in North Atlantic Conference play. They enter the game coming off of a scoreless draw at Maine Maritime. Sophomore Edgar Gomez leads the team with 4 goals. Wakeley Banker has scored twice from the penalty spot while Cole Wright has also added 2 goals. The Wildcats have also split time in the net as James D'Alessio and Ryan Primus have started 4 and 3 games respectively. D'Alessio has a 1.64 goals against average while making 15 saves with a 2-1 record. Primus is 1-1-2 with 2 goals allowed, 0.57 goals against average, and 10 saves made.
