Kelly Named AMCC Newcomer of the Year, 2nd Team All AMCC

Bradford, Pa -- Freshman Forward Thomas Kelly was named Conference Newcomer of the Year by the AMCC on Tuesday. He was also named to the 2nd All-Conference team.

Kelly paced the Panthers attack in 2019, leading the team in points with 24. He scored 8 goals and assisted 8 more in his opening campaign in Bradford. Against AMCC opponents, Kelly he scored 6 of his goals and recorded 7 assists. The 19 points in conference play was the third best total in the conference, only two 4th year seniors posted higher point totals. His 7 assists was the most in AMCC contests.

Head Coach Nate Whitehurst said, "Tommy did great as a freshman to step up and be a goal scorer for us. I'm looking forward to his continued growth and development moving into the future."

Kelly, along with his teammates finished the year 9-9 overall with a 5-5 record in conference play, earning their first trip to the AMCC-Tournament since 2011.
