Sizani Earns AMCC Honors For Second-Straight Week

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Sihle Sizani of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week, conference officials announced Monday.

Sizani went 2-0 on the week, allowing just one goal in each game while playing all 180 minutes.

He made 11 total saves on the week -- six Tuesday at Thiel and five Saturday against Chatham.

His stellar play has helped the Panthers to a perfect 3-0 start to the year, the program's best since 1999.

So far, the AMCC has presented weekly awards twice and Sizani has earned this honor both times.

On the season, Sizani has played every possible minute in goal and he leads the AMCC with a .889 save percentage.

Pitt-Bradford will look to remain unbeaten as it heads to Alfred for a 7 p.m. non-conference road match Wednesday.
