ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Sihle Sizani has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance during the team's 2019 opener Saturday, conference officials announced Tuesday.

Sizani kept Bethany out of the net with a 3-0 shutout in the Panthers' season opener Saturday.

He stopped all five shots sent his way while playing all 90 minutes.

Pitt-Bradford is 2-0 to start the season after a 2-1 victory at Thiel Tuesday.

The Panthers welcome Chatham on Saturday for the squad's second home match.
