Panthers Women's, Men's Soccer Back Home To Host Hilbert Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's and women's soccer teams are back home Wednesday hosting Hilbert for Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matches at the Kessel Athletic Complex.

The day will begin with the women's game at 2 p.m. with the men's game following at 4:15 p.m.

The women's team is coming off a 2-0 defeat at Penn State-Altoona Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford had a pair of scoring chances, as Meghan Stuck and Grace Dadzaa each put a shot on goal.

The Panthers fired seven total shots, five of which coming from Stuck. Dadzaa and Meghan Rose fired once apiece.

In goal, Emily Bethel played all 90 minutes and made eight saves on 10 shots on goal faced.

Bethel has played every possible minute in goal for Pitt-Bradford so far this season at 925:34, the second-most in the AMCC. She has also made the most saves in the conference with 91, which ranks 15th in NCAA Division III.

The Panthers men's team is coming off a thrilling 3-0 win at Penn State-Altoona Saturday.

Chase Rider scored a pair of goals and assisted the third to lead the Panthers. 

Rider's five goals are tied for second most in the AMCC while his 11 points are tied for third most in the conference.

T.J. Magro also scored for the Panthers, his first career goal.

In stopping all five shots on goal sent his way, Sihle Sizani picked up his first career shutout.

Sizani's 38 saves are the eighth most in the AMCC.

Both Hilbert's women's and men's teams are in search of their first victories of the season. Gina Mallone for the Hilbert women's team and Brandon Bundschuh of the men's team have scored for the Hawks. Hilbert's men's keeper Tucker Reynolds is the NCAA leader in saves with 85.

After the games against Hilbert, the Panthers continue home action as La Roche comes to the Kessel Athletic Complex Saturday.
