Panthers Women's, Men's Soccer To Host Non-Conference Doubleheader Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's and men's soccer teams will be in action for a home doubleheader Saturday.

The women's team will begin the day hosting Alfred before the men's team takes on Baldwin Wallace.

The Panthers women's team (1-3) is making its return home after a pair of road matches.

The last time Pitt-Bradford played at the Kessel Athletic Complex, Meghan Stuck buried the game-winner to send the Panthers to a 2-1 overtime victory over Thiel (Sept. 3).

Kahlee Bowen assisted Stuck's strike, and she scored the equalizer earlier in the match.

Tied with the Bowen and Stuck for the team lead in goals is Grace Dadzaa, who scored the team's first goal of the season on Aug. 31.

In goal, freshman Emily Bethel has played all 365:34 minutes in goal for Pitt-Bradford. On Wednesday, she set a new career high with 16 saves.

The Panthers men's team (1-5) is playing their second of a three-game homestand Saturday.

Most recently, Pitt-Bradford played host to Alfred, which defeated the Panthers 3-1 Wednesday. 

Chase Rider scored his team-leading third goal of the season. Rider's three goals scored are the second most in the AMCC.

Ryuta Hayakawa has scored a pair of goals for the Panthers this season -- both of which coming on penalty kicks.

In goal, Sihle Sizani started for the Panthers on Wednesday, making six saves and shutting out Alfred in the second half.

The Alfred women's team comes to town with a 4-1 overall record, riding a three-game winning streak.

On the men's side, Baldwin Wallace enters the weekend with a 2-3-1 overall record, most recently falling to Allegheny, 3-2, on Wednesday.

Saturday's doubleheader will begin with the women's game at 12 p.m. with the men's game coming after around 2:15 p.m.
