Panthers Head To Hilbert For Third AMCC Match

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team will play its third match of a four-game road trip Wednesday as it heads to Hilbert for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match.

The Panthers are coming off a tough defeat at Pitt-Greensburg on Friday that pushed their conference record to 1-1.

In the team's AMCC opener on Sept. 23, Pitt-Bradford earned a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory over Penn State-Altoona in which Steven McFetridge headed the game-winning goal on a corner kick to give the Panthers a perfect start to its conference season.

McFetridge, Ugwunna Amadi and Ryuta Hayakawa have three goals apiece to make up the Panthers' nine total goals.

Ethan Acaster and McFetridge have both assisted two goals while Michael Giopulos and Matthew Perry have one assist apiece.

In goal, Derrick Brock leads the AMCC with 79 total saves and he holds a save percentage of .712.

At 1-1 in conference play, the Panthers sit in sixth place through the early part of AMCC action.

Action at Hilbert will begin at 2 p.m. and will be the first game of a doubleheader with the women's game coming immediately after.

  • The Hilbert Hawks welcome the Panthers still in search of their first win, going 0-9 overall and 0-3 in AMCC action so far.
  • For conference matches, Hilbert has played at Franciscan (Sept. 23), at Medaille (Sept. 26) and hosted Penn State-Altoona (Sept. 30).
  • Travis Hicks leads the team with three goals and Brandon Bundschuh has scored two. Jon Saeli and Garrett Rehner have a goal apiece to round out the Hawks' scoring.
  • In goal, Tucker Reynolds sits fifth in the AMCC with 44 total saves and a .746 save percentage. Ryan Valentine is the second keeper for the Hawks and splits time with Reynolds. Valentine is sixth in the AMCC with just one fewer save than Reynolds with 43.
