Panthers Finish 4th at Thiel Spring Invite, Kamuda Fires 72

Hermitage, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team played in the Thiel Spring Invitational on Saturday, playing in their second tournament this spring season. The Panthers finished with a score of 318, giving them a 4th-place finish on the day.

Playing at Avalon Country Club at Buhl Park, the Panthers used a sparking performance from Brody Kamuda to post their 2nd best team score of the year. The Panthers shot a 318 as a team. The event champions, Westminster finished at 298, but the Panthers were only 6 strokes behind Saint Vincent in 2nd and 5 off Grove City in 3rd.

Kamuda was the Panthers' best finisher, firing an even-par 72 to finish tied for 2nd. He was two strokes behind the individual medalist. Ben Tubbs had a strong showing with an 80, while Drew Heinze delivered his best collegiate performance, posting a 10-over 82. Connor Smith rounded out the scoring at 84 and MAx Bizzak finished at 87.
