Pitt-Bradford Golf to Begin AMCC Championship Tournament Monday

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team returns to action this week as they will compete in the two-day AMCC Championship Tournament, which is being held at Butler Country Club in Butler, Pa.

The Panthers enter the championship tournament on a strong run of form, as they have two tournament wins and a 2nd-place finish in their last three tournaments. They won the Hilbert and Medaille Invitationals and finished off their regular season with their lowest score of the season, a 315, in a 2nd place finish at the James Bowen Invitational, hosted by Penn State-Behrend. The Panthers have a team average of 333.43, which is the fourth-best in the conference, only 0.14 strokes behind Mount Aloysius in third.

Freshman Broderick Kamuda has led the Panthers throughout the year. Kamuda has a stroke average of 82.43. He has won one tournament, the Medaille Invitational, and posted the Panthers' lowest score in five of seven tournaments. Seniors Evan Jordan and Jarod Chaffe are averaging 84.0 and 84.14 strokes per round, while Sean Campbell has typically rounded out the Pitt-Bradford scoring, averaging 85.57 strokes per round.

The Championship Tournament is being played at Butler Country Club for the first time. The Panthers will begin the two-day tournament on Monday, October 18th.
