Men's Golf Heads to AMCC Championship Looking for 3rd Straight Crown

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team will participate in the AMCC Championship Tournament over the next two days, looking to win their third straight title.

The Panthers won the AMCC Championship Tournament in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Additionally, the team is looking to have its third straight individual winner of the tournament.

Johhny Fiore has returned to the golf team this season, after a year away from the team last season. Fiore was a main cog in the 2018 championship team, winning the individual title for the championship tournament that season. He has led the Panthers this season with an 80.33 scoring average. He has not finished lower than 5th this season.

Jarrod Chaffee has also provided some experience to a team that lost all 5 of its scoring members from last season. Chaffee has averaged an 84.00 in the three tournaments this season, with his best finish coming at the Medaille Invitational when he tied for 4th with an 80.

Evan Jordan is a new recruit to the team this season, despite being in his senior year. Jordan was a part of the Pitt-Bradford Club Hockey team but joined the golf team this season. He has also averaged an 84.00 this season, with his best score also coming in the Medaille Invitational. He shot 79 and finished in 3rd.

Nick Mole, Sean Campbell, and Drew Swanson round out the team. Mole, a senior who joined the team last year, is averaging an 85.33. Campbell and Swanson are freshmen on the team. Swanson has averaged an 88.33 and Campbell has averaged a 90.00.

The Championship Tournament has been moved to a new site this year, after taking place at Avalon Lakes Country Club in the past. This year's iteration will take place at Peek'n Peak Resort in Clymer, N.Y. The tournament is a two-day event and will take place on Sunday and Monday. The Panthers are scheduled to begin their opening round at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
