BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team is set for its main event, the 2018 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships at Avalon Lakes in Youngstown, Ohio, Sunday and Monday.

After a strong regular season, Pitt-Bradford is looking to improve upon back-to-back fourth-place finishes at the AMCC Championships.

A season ago, the Panthers shot a 625 at the two-day event. Indicative of the state of the conference, that score would've won the championship the previous year.

Pitt-Bradford's season was highlighted by the weekend of Sept. 15 in which the Panthers took second in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic after finishing second at Penn State-Altoona Saturday and winning at Mount Aloysius Sunday, Sept. 16.

Matt Moonan picked up the individual victory with a score of 148 between the two days and was fittingly named the AMCC Golfer of the Week on Monday, Sept. 17.

This season, Cary Ignaczak has been the most consistent performer for Pitt-Bradford, posting the best average score on the team at 79.38 strokes.

Cooper Cordova (80.63) and Johnny Fiore (80.88) have been key additions to the Panthers, each picking up a win along the way this season.

Jamie Rook (84.00) and Jarod Chaffee (85.33) have also been regulars in the Panther lineup.

The Panthers are led by reigning AMCC Coach of the Year Keith Stauffer, who guided the Panthers to the 2002 AMCC championship and has finished in the top five in the conference in 11 of his 16 seasons at the helm.
