Panthers Golf Back In Action At Medaille Invitational Thursday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team will once again be in action Thursday at the Medaille Invitational at Fox Valley Country Club.

Thursday's action was originally scheduled for Monday, but due to incoming weather, the event was pushed to Thursday.

The Panthers were also scheduled to compete at Penn State-DuBois Wednesday, but that was also postponed with a make-up date to be determined.

So, Thursday's action is the Panthers' first since the Pitt-Bradford Invitational on Sept. 1.

The Panthers finished fourth with a team score of 317. Grove City finished third, just one stroke ahead of the Panthers.

Penn State-Behrend captured the team win with a score of 301, while Pitt-Greensburg finished second at 307.

Under a hot, clear sky at their home course, Matt Moonan and Jarod Chaffee tied for the Panthers team individual lead with scores of 76, which was good for fifth overall.

Cary Ignaczak and Cooper Cordova were two strokes behind at 78 -- tied for 12th overall.

Johnny Fiore and Jamie Rook tied for 50th overall with scores of 85.

To round out the Panther competitors, Sam Marchini and Brayden Snyder each shot an 86.
