Panthers Men's Golf to Compete in the Medaille Invitational Wednesday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's golf team will head to Glen Oak Country Club to compete in the Medaille Invitational Wednesday morning.

The competition will be the Panthers' first competition since hosting the Pitt-Bradford Invitational this past weekend at Pine Acres Country Club.

Led by freshman Cary Ignaczak's 77 and senior Brett Gardner's 78, the Panthers came in fifth of 16 total teams. Both Panthers finished in the top 10 out of 93 total golfers.

Jamie Rook put together a solid round as well, shooting an 80 and tying for 11th place.

Included in the field of 16 were all nine of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference teams, and Pitt-Bradford finished fourth among AMCC teams.

The competition at Medaille will be the first of back-to-back Wednesday action, as after the Invitational at Glen Oak Country Club, the Panthers will play next at Penn State-DuBois on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at DuBois Country Club.

The Medaille Invitational is set to begin at 11 a.m.
