WARREN, Oh. – Zach Spicer delivered one of the finest individual performances of the season on the opening day of the AMCC Men's Golf Championship at Avalon Lakes Country Club.
Spicer fired a 78 and heads into the final day of the tournament just one shot back of Penn State Behrend's Alex Schindledecker.
As a team, the Panthers head into Monday's final round in fourth place with a total score of 345. Penn State Behrend is atop the leaderboard after shooting a 320.
"Zach played a great round today," said Pitt-Bradford head coach Keith Stauffer. "As a team, we took too many penalty strokes, but we are hoping for a good round tomorrow, and a second place finish."
Tom Morlock finished with an 85 while Brett Garnder and Aaron Van Sickles both carded a 91. John Bedford rounded out the Panther's scorecard with a 95.
The event, and the 2015 season, conclude Monday afternoon.
