Men’s Golf places second at Penn State Altoona Invitational

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford men's golf team brought home second place from the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Monday, Sept. 15.

Pitt-Bradford carded a team score of 320 on the par-72 course. Penn State Behrend claimed the top spot in the tournament with a team score of 307, finishing plus 19. Allegany College of Maryland grabbed third place with a final score of 328, plus 32, to round out the top team performances.

Junior Zach Spicer turned in a 76 to lead all Panthers on the course. Spicer finished in fifth place overall and four over par. Sophomore Alex Hunter carded an 81 to finish in 14th, while freshman Brett Gardner tallied an 87 that tied him for 31st.

Sophomore John Bradford rounded out the Panthers scorecard with a final score of 98.

Pitt-Bradford is back in action when the Panthers take part in the Penn State Behrend Invitational on Monday, Sept. 22. The tournament will take place at the Lakeview Country Club in Erie, Pa., and is set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
