Men’s Golf finishes third at AMCC Championships

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford men's golf team carded an overall team score of 661 at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships to finish in third place on Monday, Oct. 13.

The Panthers finished the two-day event with a 337 on day one, followed by a 324 on day two to improve two spots in the final standings.

AMCC-rival Penn State Behrend claimed the top spot in this year's championship with a final score of 605 (304, 301). Penn State Altoona finished second after the Lions carded a 645 (317, 328).

Sophomore Alex Hunter led all Panthers on the course with a 153 overall (77, 76) to finish in third place. Junior Zach Spicer tied for ninth with a 160 (83, 77), while freshman Brett Gardner carded a 165 (85, 80) to finish tied for 14th.

Rounding out Pitt-Bradford's score card was sophomore John Bedford with a 186 (92, 94), as well as senior Corey Hites with a 195 (104, 91). Bedford placed 37th, while Hites finished 40th.
