Pitt-Bradford Men Return Home To Host Franciscan Monday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will return home Monday to host Franciscan for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game.

The contest is a make-up game from the originally scheduled contest Jan. 19 that was postponed due to winter weather.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a tough road defeat at Mount Aloysius Saturday.

Reggie Rogers scored 17 points to lead the Panthers and Desmond Brogsdale dropped 13.

Ugwunna Amadi collected eight steals, which sets a new Pitt-Bradford single-game season high.

The Panthers and Barons met earlier this season on Dec. 15 with Franciscan coming out on top at home, 87-71. 

Rogers led the Panthers in scoring during the first meeting with 19 points. Amadi and Mitchell dropped 17 apiece.

Franciscan comes to the KOA Arena with a 10-12 overall record and 6-9 mark in conference play. The Barons are riding a three-game skid, falling at Penn State-Behrend (Feb. 2), against La Roche (Feb. 6) and against Hilbert (Feb. 9). Franciscan's Matt Trent is tied for the top rebounding spot in the AMCC averaging 10.1 rebounds per game.

Pitt-Bradford will stay home at the KOA Arena for the remainder of the season as the Panthers will host Penn State-Altoona Wednesday and Penn State-Behrend Saturday to wrap up its regular season.

Monday's game is set for a 6 p.m. start. It will be the second part of a doubleheader with the women's game coming before at 4 p.m.
