BRADFORD, Pa. -- The Univerisity of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team dropped an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference game Thursday at the KOA Arena, 82-66.

With the results, Pitt-Bradford moves to 2-12 in AMCC action while Hilbert improves to 4-11 in conference play.

"It was good to see Desmond have a good night offensively," Head Coach Ryan Shay said. "I thought we started the game with the right intensity and focus, but when we settled for tougher shots they really took over the game in transition. We sadly weren't able to counter."

Desmond Brogsdale led all scorers with 23 points.

Reggie Rogers dropped 10 points for the Panthers and Dylan Mitchell scored nine.

Rogers also led the team with six assists and four steals.

Pitt-Bradford got off to a hot start with back-to-back buckets from George Alston and a deep three-pointer from Brogsdale to give the Panthers a quick 7-0 lead 1:25 into the contest and force a Hilbert timeout.

The Hawks answered with a run of their own and eventually went onto take a 44-30 lead into the half.

Brogsdale led all scorers with 14 points on 6-8 shooting and a pair of three-pointers in the opening half.

Both teams put together an even second half and the Panthers were unable to cut into the deficit, allowing Hilbert to hold on for the win.

Pitt-Bradford forced 18 Hilbert turnovers and turned the ball over 16 times itself. The Panthers turned those turnovers into 16 points.

Up next, Pitt-Bradford will travel to Mount Aloysius for an AMCC contest Saturday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m.
