GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Tied at the half, Pitt-Greensburg used a strong second half to defeat the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest Saturday.
With the 91-68 setback, Pitt-Bradford drops to 3-14 overall and 2-9 in AMCC action while Pitt-Greensburg moves to 6-13 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
"The guys really played hard tonight and it was good to see us moving the ball so well and playing unselfishly," Head Coach Ryan Shay said. "Our level of communication wasn't where it needs to be in the second half, though. Greensburg did a good job keeping the ball moving and finding the open man when we didn't rotate correctly."
Reggie Rogers led the Panthers in scoring with 16 points.
Justin Kusiappouh registered a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards.
Dylan Mitchell and Desmond Brogsdale were also in double-figures scoring 12 and 10 points respectively.
The two teams put together an even first half, both shooting at a high percentage and taking care of the ball.
Pitt-Bradford knocked down four three-pointers -- one apiece from Rogers, Brogsdale, George Alston and Zach Reigel.
The Panthers and Bobcats went into the half tied, 37-37.
At the half, Rogers led the team with nine points and Brogsdale had seven points. Kusiappouh has six points and seven rebounds.
Pitt-Bradford maintained the same offensive production in the second half, shooting 44.8 percent from the floor.
But the Bobcats took their offense to the next level, shoot 66.7 percent from the floor and hitting seven three-pointers to pull away in the second half.
Pitt-Greensburg outscored Pitt-Bradford 57-31 in the second half to complete the victory.
The two teams were even on the boards, each squad pulling in 33 rebounds.
Up next, Pitt-Bradford will host Hilbert Wednesday at the KOA Arena for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
