Pitt-Bradford Men To Host Mount Aloysius Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will return to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action Saturday hosting Mount Aloysius in the KOA Arena.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a stretch against tough non-conference competition, first hosting No. 25 Middlebury on Dec. 17 before taking on NYU on Jan. 2.

The Panthers will welcome Mount Aloysius with a 2-8 overall record and a 1-4 mark in AMCC action, their conference win coming in their AMCC home opener, a double-overtime triumph over Pitt-Greensburg on Dec. 8.

Against NYU, the Panther defense forced a stifling 20 NYU turnovers. Wednesday's effort marks the fourth time this season the Panthers have forced 20 or more turnovers.

The 66 points NYU scored Wednesday is the third-fewest total the Violets have poured in all season.

Reggie Rogers led the team in scoring with seven points. 

Justin Kusiappouh collected a team-best nine boards while Dylan Mitchell grabbed six.

On the season, Rogers is the team's leading scorer with 12.7 points per game.

Pitt-Bradford owns one of the toughest defenses in the conference as it leads the AMCC and is 42nd in the country with 9.6 steals per game and 16.5 turnovers forced per game. 

Desmond Brogsdale is second in the conference and 79th in NCAA Division III with 2.1 steals per game.

Mount Aloysius enters the KOA Arena in the upper echelon of the conference at 7-6 overall and 4-2 in AMCC games, good for third place. The Mounties allow the second-fewest points per game in the AMCC at 68 points per game. Julian Stover leads the team in scoring with 14.7 points per game while Carlos Palacios drops 13.3 points per contest.

Saturday's action will tip around 4 p.m. The game will serve as the second part of a doubleheader with the women's matchup coming before.
