Behrend Tops Panthers In AMCC Road Contest Saturday

ERIE, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team fell to Penn State-Behrend in its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference road game Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford (1-4, 0-2 AMCC) lost to the Lions (4-1, 1-1 AMCC), 101-59.

Penn State-Behrend received 18 votes in the most recent D3hoops National Top 25 Poll released Monday.

Ugwunna Amadi and Justin Kusiappouh led the team with 11 points apiece.

Reggie Rogers chipped in nine points and three assists.

All 10 Panthers that checked in scored for Pitt-Bradford.

Behrend was rolling on both sides during the first half, outscoring Pitt-Bradford 57-27.

Despite a strong half shooting for Pitt-Bradford (13-26, 50 percent), Behrend stayed hot and extended its lead to close out and hang on for the win.

In all, Pitt-Bradford shot 41.4 percent (24-58) and turned the ball over just seven times.

Behrend shot 60.6 percent (40-66) and knocked down 17 three-pointers on 29 attempts.

Jeffrey Fry, George Alston and Tyron Williams each connected on a three-ball for Pitt-Bradford.

Oumar Sanogo and Dylan Mitchell each blocked a pair of Behrend shots

Up next, the Panthers will head to Penn State-Altoona Wednesday for its second-straight AMCC road game.
