Panthers To Compete In Buffalo Wild Wings Classic At Stevenson This Weekend

BRADFORD, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will head to Stevenson University to compete in the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic this weekend.

Pitt-Bradford will open against FDU-Florham at 6 p.m. Friday while Stevenson will host Clarks Summit at 8 p.m.

The winners of Friday's games will compete for the tournament title Saturday at 4 p.m. Both losing teams will face each other in the consolation game Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Panthers are coming off a setback in their season opener last Saturday at the KOA Arena.

Justin Kusiappouh led the team with 13 points and eight boards.

Reggie Rogers scored 11 points.

Desmond Brogsdale played 33 tough minutes for the Panthers, scoring seven points while pulling in five rebounds.

In 32 minutes on the floor, George Alston dropped nine points, topping his career best.

FDU-Florham is 1-2 so far this season, highlighted by a thrilling 69-68 over 2018 NCAA tournament team Yeshiva on Sunday. Darren Davy leads the team with 17.3 points per game and Anthony Mitchell adds 12.7 points per contest so far in the early parts of the season.

Clarks Summit enters the tournament in search of its first victory of the season at 0-3. Marcus Dixon is the team's leading scorer with 15.7 points per game while Reed Plantz adds 11.3 points per contest.

The host Stevenson suffered an 86-65 loss to Scranton in its season opener last Saturday. Montaque Wright led the way with 26 points while Taj Fleming and Walt English pulled in seven rebounds apiece.
